What is the AIO Score?
The AIO Score is a 0 to 100 measure of how ready your page is for AI search, built from 21 weighted checks. The full methodology is public, down toevery check, every point, and the research behind each weight.
Four subscores
Retrievability carries 35 points, machine-readable content 30, answer readiness 30, and structured data just 5. That last number is deliberate. The evidence says schema is hygiene, not a strategy, and we weight it accordingly.

What does AIOScan actually check?
AIOScan runs 21 on-page checks across four areas. It tests whether AI systems can retrieve your pages at all, covering robots.txt, firewall blocks, and speed. It reads your raw HTML the way a crawler does. It measures whether your content is shaped like answers. And it checks basic structured-data hygiene. Every check and weight is documented on the AIO Score page.
Is the AIO Score a real, documented methodology?
Yes. All 21 checks and their exact point weights are published on our methodology page, and each weight traces to published research: large-scale prompt studies, controlled schema experiments, server-log analyses. The scanner and the documentation are generated from the same source file, so what you read is exactly what runs.
Why doesn’t AIOScan score llms.txt?
Because the measured evidence says nothing reads it. Ahrefs analyzed logs across 137,000 domains and found 97% of llms.txt files got zero requests in a month. We report whether you have one, score it at zero, and explain why. Tools that award points for llms.txt are scoring a myth.
Do I need to sign up or give my email?
No. Enter a URL and you get the full report. There is no signup, no email gate, and no truncated teaser version.
How is this different from an SEO audit?
Classic SEO audits measure how search engines rank pages. AIOScan measures how AI assistants read, understand, and cite them. That means access rules for AI bots specifically, content that survives being read without JavaScript, and answers a model can quote directly.
Does AIOScan query ChatGPT or Claude live?
