Why we built AIOScan

Most AI visibility tools show you a score they can't explain, generated by a methodology they won't publish, behind an email gate. We thought that was a bad deal.

What is AIOScan?

AIOScan is a free scanner that measures how ready your website is for AI search. It tests whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini can retrieve your pages, parse them, and cite them, using 21 deterministic checks weighted by published research. You get a full report with a fix guide for every failure, and nobody asks for your email.

What do we believe?

Three things. Methodology should be public. Reports should be free and complete. And a tool that grades websites should score perfectly on its own test. Ourmethodology page is generated from the scanner's source code, the research behind each weight is linked there, and yes, we scan ourselves.

Who writes AIOScan?

Every guide on this site is written by Abdul Jaafar.Abdul Jaafar is the founder of AIOScan and runs Mason, a marketing agency focused on search and AI visibility for local businesses. He built AIOScan because most AI visibility scores are made up, and he wanted one that isn't. The research library behind the scanner, and behind every recommendation in our guides, is curated by the same hands that built the checks, which keeps the writing and the scoring honest with each other.

What's next?

Layer 2 is live measurement of the retrieval side: whether you rank for the sub-queries AI generates, and the reputation signals models consult before recommending anyone. The on-page scan tells you whether you can be seen. Layer 2 will tell you whether you are.
